San Francisco from the Other Side

Views from inside Faction Brewing

When we went to Alameda last December we came across a spot where you could get an unobstructed view of San Francisco’s cityscape. Turns out Faction Brewing was right next to it, and you could get the same views.

I personally like their vibe more than their beer, although they have 25 different beers on draft and a good number of cans/bottles. I am not a big fan of IPAs so I haven’t tried any, but the pilsners that I had were a little less carbonated than what I am used to. Whenever we went on a weekend there were always a lot of people, but there is plenty of seating indoors and on the patio, so I wouldn’t worry about not getting a seat. Needless to say, it’s become one of our favorite spots in the Bay Area to spend a chill afternoon on the weekend.

Good for:

  • Beer tasting

  • Small parties/gatherings

Not-so-good for:

  • Wine drinkers

Tips/Recommendations:

  • If you plan on sitting at the patio, make sure you wear sun screen (they don’t have umbrellas)

  • Bring your own food! They have rotating food trucks on site, but the food selection at the brewery is very small.
